A biographical film is about Chandrashekhar Azad, India's freedom struggle martyr. Azad was born in a small Madhya Pradesh village of Bhavra in Jhabua dist. on July 23, 1906. Young Azad was terribly moved by the Britishers killing thousands of innocent Indians at Jhalianwala Baug in the Punjab. He whole heartedly plunged into the freedom struggle. He was arrested for his protests against the British rulers. A fearless comrade-in-arms of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, Azad was killed in an encounter with the Britishers at Alfred Park in Allahabad. This film shot on locations including Bhavra (Madhya Pradesh), Jhansi, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Allahabad and Banaras (all in UP) includes interviews with Sadashiv Malkaparkar, Shiv Verma, Durga Bhabhi (wife of Bhagwaticharan Vora), etc.
