An animation film presenting several aspects of the Post &Telegraph Department's rural development programmes including mobile post offices in villages, savings schemes, etc. P & T also extends telephone services to rural areas.

The Chola Heritage

The film highlighting the Dravidian temple architecture and bronze sculpture which attained the creative pinnacle during the rule of the Cholas in the 10th and the 11th centuries. Cholas were great temple builders. The temple of Vijayalaya Cholesvara is one of the finest examples of the early Chola style. The temple of Nagesvara at Kumbakonam is remarkable for the sculptures found in the niches of its outer walls. The Brihadesvara temple at Thanjavur is a landmark in the evolution of building art in India.

Unfolding the web of thought woven from great diversity of India, this film presents the great Indian heritage of art, culture, religion, et al that mingles with the contemporary national mainstream. It focuses on various folk art traditions.

Aum Namah Shivaya

Set forth on a journey of discovery, we are all pilgrims on the Planet Earth. Parvati, the Goddess of dance, daughter of the Himalayas and the consort of Shiva-Nataraja, brought the dance to the daughter of Earth. Various manifestations of the dance are found in India from the Himalayas in the north top to Kanyakumari in the south bottom. While wandering, she interacts with these sculpted myths by her devotion and offers her prayers to the Gods in the form of sacred Indian classical dances.

Dastan - E - Alam Ara

Made in 1932, India's first talkie was Alam Ara made by ArdeshirIrani (1885-1968). This film (print not in existence) through available stills and a song presents the story of the original film -Alam Ara.
