Film is on the story of Ramesh, a Dalit, who works as a bus conductor through the founding of a folk song band, struggles to celebrate his and the community's identity, amidst his daily struggles for existence.
The film sketches the creative life of Kapil ( the protagonist ) who is a young, talented and one of the very few artists who practices Kutiyattam, a 2000 year old Sanskrit theatre form, part of the temple traditions of Kerala, South India. The film narrativizes the captivating ambience and world of Kutiyattam, through the events in one day of Kapila's life. It will be interspersed with pages from her life as a normal modern woman too.
The short movie portrays the well known Kerala based playback and classical singer "Vaikom Vijayalakshmi". She is totally blind by birth. Interviews with Vijayalakshmi, father and mother reveals her potential to know several Ragas and film songs. The movie shows Vijayalakshmi's achievement during her 30 years of career.
